Starting in 1997, Delgado was selected to be the official sport artist on "Fox's Hardcore Football", a nationally televised program hosted by Hall of Famer, Ronnie Lott
Every week during the NFL football season. a player which had a remarkable performance on the field that Sunday, was selected as "Player of the Week" .  The artist then  immediately proceeded to create an original painting capturing the player and that precise moment.  Delgado captured the excitement of the moment with his brushes while showing the commitment of each individual athlete. Every Tuesday morning, he was flown to the Los Angeles Fox studios from his studio where he continued to work on the painting. Near the end of the filming of the show, the finished painting was unveiled on television. The original was then presented to the athlete. Brete Farve, Barry Sanders, Terrel Davis, Emmit Smith are just a  few recipients of the award.   The artist was a substantial part of the success of the program, as he stayed on deadline, while keeping the quality of work at a high level every week for two years. Below are samples of the originals of works produced for "Hardcore".
