JACK NICKLAUS -A TRIBUTE TO THE GOLDEN BEAR by Delgado
In the year 2000, Mr. Delgado was commissioned by THE UNITED STATES
POSTAL SERVICE to created an artpiece honoring the Mr. Nicklaus, named "Golfer of the Century". This work was
applied on special commemorative envelopes honoring Jack Nicklaus at Pebble Beach and offered only
at the 2000 U.S. Open, held at.Pebble Beach. The limited supplied sold quickly.
The only available envelopes are through the artist private collection and
can only be ordered through this site. Each is hand-stamped " June 14, 2000, Pebble Beach Beach Station" and
includes an actual 100th anniversary stamp of the California Gold Strike. Each is signed and numbered by
the artist.

In the year 2000, the artist was commissioned by THE UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE to create the art to be applied on a special
limited edition commemorative cachet. This was to honor the 100th U.S. OPEN which was held in Pebble Beach, California. The
artist, with permission by the Del Monte Corporation included three images that best represents the golf course including
the "Lone Cypress Tree". Include in the envelope is the official PGA U.S. Open logo along with a golfing figure
in the middle, done in gold foil. Only 1000 of these envelopes were ever offered to the public and was only sold during the
tournament. The only remaining inventory comes from the artist private collection and is only offered though this website.

This work on the right reflects perhaps one of the world's best know golf hole, the 7th at
beautiful Pebble Beach. This work was done on location by the artist and is included on the commemorative envelope honoring
the 100th U.S. Open held at Pebble Beach.

This series of three are available for as a set for $75.00 or $30.00 apiece. They measure 11" x 17" and are printed on
museum quality stock. Each is hand signed and numbered by the artist.
