In 2003, The Mexican
Heritage Corporation of San Jose, California, commissioned the artist to create an original rendition for
the 12th Mariachi Festival Official Poster. The
Mariachi Festival is one of the largest international festival dovoted to the music of the Mariachi. This particular
year they wanted to include a representation of the Mexican Chareada, similiar that to
the Rodeo. He masterfully combined the two elements in this rendition. The original is in permanent collection at the
MHC Art Museum.
