As a child, Delgado would love to watch the Westerns on television after school like so many children of that
age. Not only was he watching but he would look for scraps of paper and pencil so that he could capture
his favorite images from these shows on paper. This eventually would lead him into developing his skills and his direction
in art.
"I was always drawn to the indigenous people
of the Americas. I find there culture and style of life a harmony with the world
that is hard to find nowadays." Delgado
His renditions and studies of the horses in these and other drawings was being recognized by horse breed owners and
commissions soon followed. This led to horse racing and eventually into the world of sports.
His rendition shown here, "REMEMBRACE OF THE BUFFALO" was chosen as one of the top fifty
pieces from artists from the state of California. It went on tour around the country and was then featured in an
exhibition for two weeks at the White House in Washington, D.C.
